Joanne's Inspiring Story: Defying Osteoporosis.

Meet Joanne, a BFIT member who faced the challenge of Osteoporosis head-on. Through her dedication to BFIT's fitness programs and an active lifestyle, Joanne not only defied the odds but achieved significant improvements in her bone density.

Joanne made Strength and Stability, Chair Yoga, and Strength and Core group fitness classes at BFIT a priority. These classes focused on weight-bearing exercises, resistance training, and gentle stretching, which helped Joanne strengthen her muscles, improve balance, and enhance flexibility. In addition to her group fitness classes, Joanne incorporated jogging and golf into her routine. By staying active and attending these classes every week, Joanne experienced noticeable improvements in her bone density.

Results and Gratitude: Joanne recently received her bone density scan results, and the news was fantastic. Her bone density increased by 2.2% at L-1 -L-4 and 2.3% for the dual femur total bone mineral density compared to her previous scan in 2020.
